Dan entered the financial services industry in 1984, and founded Presidential Brokerage in 1991. After studying the broad field of financial planning services, Dan and his CEO of 18 years, John DuPriest, developed a business model to better reflect their shared passion for the issues facing mainstream America in retirement. Together, they created America’s Retirement Store – a welcoming, accessible, non-intimidating store “on Main Street” – to reach many middle class families who believe they need guidance with financial planning.
The tenets of America’s Retirement Store include 1) no-cost planning, analysis and guidance, 2) free educational seminars and workshops open to the public, and 3) no-pressure, no-obligation, trust-based working relationships with highly trained advisors. America’s Retirement Store has struck a chord with many clients approaching, or living their retirement years, and the company is growing.
Dan’s sports career included four years at the University of Minnesota Duluth on a hockey scholarship, holding the all-time leading scoring record for 35 years. He was taken in the 6th round of 1977 draft by the Colorado Rockies. Dan and his wife Sherri, have two children, and reside in Larkspur, Colorado.
